Commissions were taking the CEO’s month, not just the operator’s
Grace ran commissions in a spreadsheet, one processor at a time, up to a day or two each. Formulas got missed, so Will carved out time every month to recheck her output before anything went out. Then the statements went out as PDFs, one email at a time, and the questions came back, account by account.
Everybody’s like, oh yeah, that’s cool. But hey, what about this account? What about that account? Now we’re getting fifteen people responding back saying check this, check that. I just didn’t want to deal with it anymore.
Configured once, then the month is a review
Rates, splits and affiliate emails live in one place. Each month Grace uploads the processor files as they arrive, reviews what changed, and locks and publishes. Agents get their commission report by email and in their own portal.

I used a timer the first time I ran July payroll in SplitRun. I finished before my shift ended. I feel more calm, more confident now, because we configured it already and I don’t have to remember everything.
“Grace was having to touch the whole thing every month. Now she only touches what’s changed.”
The questions stopped. The history started.
Last month’s statements drew three questions, none of them about the calculation. Every agent sees the same numbers Grace sees, in their statement and in their portal, so the arguing moved to where it belongs: which split applies to a new account.
The month used to be set aside once reps were paid. Now the months stack. Will uses them to see year to date, which accounts are trending down, which are processing at a loss and why, and to check his own numbers against the accountant’s.
We would do the payroll and then set it aside until the next one came out. I’m not going to say we did a great job keeping up with where we were year to date. Now you go back and say, here’s where we are, here’s what we did last month, here’s what we’re trending for the year.
What he tells other ISOs
When a peer on several payment processors asked how Paybility keeps payouts straight, Will introduced him to SplitRun the same week.
If we were only on one payment processor, I’d have them pay the people and be done with it. But when you have several and everybody’s doing it for you, you want more control over it. We found SplitRun and it became an automated process. For the reasonable amount we pay a month, it was an instant solve.
